Working at Von Bergen’s Country Market can be a fun and rewarding experience, and we encourage everyone – students, stay at home moms, teachers, doctors, retired adventure seekers and second job weekend warriors – to apply. Every position, from the sanitizing crew to the field staff, plays a vital part in ensuring a great experience for our customers.

- Cashiers & Retail Sales
- Customer Service
- Stockers & Packers
- Bakery
- Florist & Flower field crew
- Grounds Crew (outside retrieving carts/wagons, sanitizing, emptying garbage, parking cars, etc…)
- Corn Roasting (roasting sweet corn & serving customers)
- Security
Things to consider before you apply:
We expect our staff members to be friendly, courteous, respectful and outgoing. We want our customers to feel great about their visit, and our staff is a huge part of making that happen. We expect you to treat everyone, including fellow staff members, with professionalism and respect.
As much as we’d love to allow everyone the flexibility to work whenever is most convenient for them, the reality of our business is that most of our customer traffic occurs on the weekends and holidays. Those are the important times when we need you to be available, so our customers get the great service they expect.
If you are a student, we’ll try to be as flexible as possible in scheduling shifts around your school or sports schedule. There are times, however, when it will be essential for you to be available to work. Please also understand that if there is inclement weather, we may need to cancel some shifts or send staff home early.

Working at our farm market looks like fun from the outside, but it’s a lot of hard work. Every day and every job is different. Some days are slower, and we can get to know our guests; other days are action-packed and seem to go by in a flash. We believe in cross-training every employee so you can have different jobs throughout the day. If you like the idea of flipping the same burgers for your whole shift, there are places you can do that. We like moving employees around to keep them fresh. If you get bored working at Von Bergen’s, it’s your fault!
